Client introduction
The company Fauna Hradil operates in the Czech Republic in a very specific segment – the sale of animal feed, especially for birds.

Assignment
The client’s brief was clear: to lift monthly sales by 30% with an ROAS of at least 500%.
During an in-depth audit, we found that the key would be to focus only on pigeon and parrot breeders and especially from larger cities. As we expected, Prague became the location with the best conversion rate.
How we proceeded
In the new performance category we focused on google ads and sklik, where we covered all relevant formats – from search, display, video and remarketing. We then added Facebook, where we focused on brand awareness and the visual side of ads, where we tested visual format and bird creatives nonstop.
We also funnelled products into relevant price comparison sites such as Heureka and Zboží, which acted as secondary but regular sources of traffic and purchases. They also served us as ideal social proof, as the client’s products are well rated.

Strategy
As part of the optimization processes, we engaged our in-house Performance Optimizer, which was crucial especially after the Polish Allegro penetrated the market. Thanks to our tool, we were able to quickly identify products, brands or categories with lower profitability and were able to make very quick decisions based on up-to-date data.
We managed to achieve our main goal – to achieve more than 30% increase in monthly sales – already in January. Subsequently, we exceeded the target during each subsequent month and even managed to triple it in November.
We managed to increase the total sales of the e-shop by more than 130% year-on-year. This was despite the client instructing us to reduce our budgets several times because they couldn’t keep up with the amount of orders they were shipping. We managed to surpass the 500% ROAS set by the client by a large margin. In the worst month we had an ROAS of 1648%, in the best month it was 2577%.
And the best for last
A client told us before the end of the year that we could invest in ads again because they had acquired new stock and were ready to handle the rush of orders again.

Results
Within the first month, we exceeded the client’s expectations and exceeded their ROAS requirements. In our worst month, we exceeded our 500% ROAS by more than three times.
